I am the founder of a few companies: Social Web Tactics, Catoctin Education and Government Contractors..

As part of Social Web Tactics, we have three sub-divisions that operate somewhat separately from the main company, including: Time To Brainstorm, Your Webinar Experts, Your SEO Consultant

As part of Catoctin Education, we have Catoctin College and the Education Blog.

I also am the CEO and Chairman at Leadership For America PAC and the Reform Party of Virginia.

Prior Work Experience

Prior to starting Social Web Tactics and other businesses, I have worked for a few different companies.

I was the SEO and Content Optimization Manager for Strayer University. At Strayer, I improved organic search results, increasing the number of page 1 terms on Google, handled all website analytics and worked on several successful web initiatives.

I also worked at Deltek as the Senior Community Manager for GovWin.com, which was at the time a professional network for businesses and government contractors to share opportunities and best practices. The site and concept has since changed.

My role at GovWin was to manage the social network, monitor and engage our users online and in-person, provide educational resources that enhanced the member experience, and identify ways to grow the community. I managed all social media engagement as well as programs designed to increase on-site engagement. I also worked closely with sales (especially enterprise sales) to ensure yearly growth in lead generation.

Prior to joining GovWin.com, I was the social media and online marketing manager for BIA/Kelsey. BIA/Kelsey is a leader in research and data for the media industry, with some rather specialized expertise in television, radio, and newspaper. They also are experts in the local marketplace and mobile.

I also have held marketing, project management and communications positions with companies in health care technology, software, and government contracting.

Before I was in marketing, I worked for a number of years in state and local government relations and industry affairs for non-profits in the retail, snack food, and recreational boating industries.

Personal Background

I enjoy running, swimming, hiking and exploring cities and new places in the US and Latin America.

Graduated The Catholic University of America in 1998 with BA in Politics and the equivalent of a BA in Latin American History.

Attended CCHS and Phillips Academy Andover - graduating in 1994.
